⚽ League Rules & Regulations
To ensure a safe, competitive, and organized league experience, all teams, players, and spectators must adhere to the following rules:
📝 Roster & Player Eligibility
Fill-In Players
Must have a valid league player card.
$20 fill-in fee applies per player.
Roster Freeze
Rosters are frozen at the end of Week 4.
No player additions after Week 4.
Player Borrowing
Teams may NOT borrow players from other teams within the league.
🥅 Game Format
Ball Size: Size 4
Match Length:
Two (2) 25-minute halves
5-minute halftime break
Overtime:
Overtime is played ONLY in Semifinals and Finals
1st Overtime: 10 minutes total (2 five-minute halves)
No halftime break
Teams switch sides and continue immediately
No golden goal
If tied after overtime → Penalty Kicks (PKs)
🥾 Equipment Requirements
Shin guards are mandatory.
Molded cleats or turf shoes only.
No screw-in cleats allowed.
Water only on sidelines.
No candy or gum permitted.
⏰ Game Time & Forfeit Policy
Teams must be ready to play at the scheduled kick-off time.
To maintain schedule integrity and fairness across the league, the following late policy will be enforced:
Late Arrival Penalties
5 Minutes Late: Opponents may claim a 1–0 lead
10 Minutes Late: Opponents may claim a 3–0 lead
15 Minutes Late: Game is abandoned and recorded as a 3–0 forfeit loss
Forfeits
If a team fails to show for a scheduled match, the game will be recorded as a 3–0 forfeit loss
🪑 Sideline Policy
Only coaches and players are allowed on team sidelines.
Parents and spectators must remain in designated outside bench/spectator areas.
🚫 Safety & Conduct Rules
No slide tackles allowed.
Good sportsmanship is expected at all times.
Discipline Policy
Double Yellow Card = Red Card
Player is removed for the remainder of the game.
Eligible to return next game.
Direct Red Card
Player is suspended for the remainder of the current game AND the following game.
🔁 Restarts & Special Rules
4-Second Rule
Kick-ins
Corner kicks
Goalkeeper throw-ins
Must be taken within 4 seconds or possession is awarded to the opposing team.
Kick-Ins
All out-of-bounds balls are restarted with a kick-in (no throw-ins).
Goalkeeper Restrictions
No punting or drop-kicking allowed.
Pass Back Rule:
Once a goalkeeper plays the ball, they cannot receive it back from a teammate unless:It touches an opponent,
It crosses the halfway line, or
There is a change of possession.
